This is the album that has traveled the farthest. It has been played at bedsides and in hospice rooms, in homes where someone was preparing to go, and in the quiet hours afterward. Nurses have asked for copies. Families have kept it playing for days.

It was never written for that purpose — none of my music is written in the usual sense. But this is what it went looking for, and it found its way there on its own.
